UWA's Centre for Mining, Energy and Natural Resources Law (CMENRL) stimulates education and research on legal issues arising from the mining, energy and natural resources sectors of the Western Australian economy.

It has a particular emphasis on collaborative projects, conferences, seminars and workshops conducted in cooperation with the public and private sectors.

The Centre for Mining, Energy and Natural Resources Law is the successor to the Centre for Commercial and Resources Law, which was established within the Law School at The University of Western Australia in 1990.

Numerous workshops on Mining, Energy and Natural Resources Law topics are run regularly.
